So, I've finally succumbed to the internet phenomena that is blogging. Probably the only reason that I haven't before, as most of the people who know me know that I love writing, was that the idea of putting my own thoughts online seemed both trivial and too personal.
But, I love to write, and... yeah that's pretty much it.
At any rate, I'm almost done with my first year of college, which just seems weird to say. I remember not too long ago wondering what college was going to be like, and thinking it couldn't possibly as good as my senior year of High School. Turns out I was wrong.
College is pretty much awesome. Awesome people, some pretty cool classes (some were kind of silly), and a general sense of freedom that I didn't even have when I was in boarding school. I was afraid at the beginning of the year that my close friendships (and enemyships) that I had would diminish throughout the year. I was pretty much wrong about that too.
In fact, it was almost as if I was able to get closer to certain friends through our shared college experiences, and even through some experiences that we didn't share.
So, all in all, good year. I am so glad that I met the people that I have, they are utterly awesome, and I am also grateful that my friends from High School are still very much my friends, and I can't wait till summer when I'll get to see much more of them. :-)
